This is a magnet for trouble. It's where the neighbors are fond of turning dogs loose on me. It's where two mailboxes have been destroyed. Two posts were knocked over by pickup truck. I set this post in 3ft deep concrete, and put a swivel top on it so the kids couldn't stand on it, and it would swing away from rocks and baseball bats.
Then in February 2008, the neighbor wife brought her dog out of their mobile home trailer, pointed to me at the mailbox, and said "go get her", and the dog did. There's still court dates over that. Not the dog attacking me, or the neighbor sic'ing the dog on me, no no, about me defending myself, doing what the previous District Attorney told me to do one day in his office: i shot at the dog with intent to kill it (Judge Hill told me to shoot to kill).
I then removed the mailbox, because it was everyone's opinion i should not have been getting the mail.
A couple months later, it was hit with a bulldozer.
