The little generator was a hand cranked 120v 20amp Sears generator i bought on sale - closeout. When the bottom of the plastic fuel tank busted out, i took the opportunity to put a ring gear on it's flywheel, and bolt a 12v starter to it's side. I replaced the plastic tank with a bigger plastic one .

The house is laid out electrically so i can run anything but the arc welder on this little generator. Not that everything can be run at the same time. The worst load is the battery charger for the 12vdc-120vac power convertors, it trashes the sine wave, and this little thing doesn't have the copper insides to make for a low impedance voltage source. I turn the battery charger off to use the microwave, for instance, else the microwave simply won't cook.
